Harley Quinn’s getaway vehicle. Not a finished painting, but I was done fooling around with it… so I posted it.

Poison Ivy and Robin. This was digitally inked with Illustrator’s Blob Brush Tool. It is fun tool to use, but started to feel tedious over the many nights I worked on this. I rushed the inking to finish tonight so I can start on the next stage: color.

My family has been playing Lego Batman the past couple weeks, and I was inspired to draw. This was a blast to draw, so I may do a few more of these.Batgirl & Clayface [c] DC Comics

Here I’m just trying to make the head more giraffe like. I used reference to make sure my proportions and shapes were good. Though it now looks like the right animal, the head is too stiff and dull, so I drew some changes that I plan to do in ink over my underpainting.

Here is the underpainting. The most important thing about this phase of painting is to cover everything with paint. After the paint dried I realized the head is much more camel than giraffe.

The first comic book I ever bought was X-Factor #41. It was pencilled by a guy who I now consider to be one of the greatest comic book artists of all time: Arthur Adams. I loved that book. The group was made up of the original X-Men, and had a great family feel to it.  This sketch features Jean Grey.
