Here I’m just trying to make the head more giraffe like. I used reference to make sure my proportions and shapes were good. Though it now looks like the right animal, the head is too stiff and dull, so I drew some changes that I plan to do in ink over my underpainting.

The first comic book I ever bought was X-Factor #41. It was pencilled by a guy who I now consider to be one of the greatest comic book artists of all time: Arthur Adams. I loved that book.
